Oasis
This is part of a story I've been writing since January, it's called oasis. Some parts may be a little short, but this is how I originally had it separated. Enjoy!
Chapter 1
She threw on her sea blue tunic and dark brown pants. Quickly she stuck her head out the door and looked both ways, she didn't want to be caught. When she knew the coast was clear, she slipped out of the room. She ran. She ran down the corridor, down the spiral stairs, and came to a good sized window. Having had much practice, she opened it up with ease. She then swung her legs out and landed quietly on the soft sand. She was in the garden now, the place was truly amazing. She lived in the middle of the desert, yet people could still have luxurious gardens. She would have like to stay and enjoy the garden, but she had no time to spare, plus she could do that another time. She dashed over to the market as fast as her legs could take her and managed to make it to the booth she wished to visit as Tarek, the booth keeper, was asking a messenger girl to get him some lunch. Tarek sold the most amazing rugs, shawls, scarves, and shoes. But that wasn't what the girl had come for, she had come just to have some fun with Tarek and to play in the oasis that sat next to the city where she lived.
As the girl ran past a small alley in between two booths, a boy saw her. He was walking to a different part of the market when he saw her, and he instantly wanted to know a little bit more. You see, knowing things was his nature. He was a mage, or rather a mage-in-training.
Chapter 2
The young mage quickly turned to see where the girl was going. When he turned, he saw her rush up to a merchant that sold fine linens. 'Who is she?' he wondered. He could tell when there was something he wanted to know more about. That came with water magic; he always wanted the whole story. He was a water mage, so he didn't much like the desert. Unfortunately, he had been told to visit the desert by OOME (Organization Of Magical Education). He didn't know why, but they were who he took orders from, so here he was- visiting the desert.
